Wei Liqun

Wei Liqun is the Chairman of the Hulian Supervisory Commission. Born in Yunxi in Yunnan Province, he began his career in legislative work at the Ministry of Justice and later headed the Yunnan judicial department. He joined the supervisory system when the Hulian Supervisory Commission was established, serving as head of its case review office and then as Vice-Chairman. He was appointed Chairman by decision of the Hulian People’s Assembly in March 2022, with responsibility for the supervision of public officeholders, investigations of official misconduct and accountability.
