Lin Qiyuan
Speaker of the Hulian People’s Assembly · March 2024 – March 2031
Lin Qiyuan is the Speaker of the Hulian People’s Assembly. Born in Pinghu in Sichuan Province, he worked in provincial administration and in the department responsible for local government before moving into the legislature, where he chaired the Committee on Laws for many years and took part in drafting and reviewing legislation on administrative procedure, local self-government and oversight. He was a Vice-Chairman of the Assembly with responsibility for legislative planning from 2019 to 2024 and was elected Speaker in March 2024.
